Shredded DrivesCOLT’s data destruction services provide peace-of-mind—information destruction methods are in complete compliance with HIPAA, FACTA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley and various other state, federal, and corporate compliance measures. COLT guarantees complete physical and/or electronic destruction of your data. First, all electronic data is rendered irretrievable. After which, data storage devices can be completely degaussed, shredded and ultimately destroyed. COLT has the capability to handle any quantity of hard drives, back-up tapes, CDs, cell phones, PDAs, memory devices and x-rays.

An inventory list and Certificate of Data Destruction signed by a COLT officer, are provided to each client at job completion. These documents are each customer’s assurance that all items entrusted to COLT are in fact destroyed in the contracted manner.

Data Degaussing – Data Security HD-5T degaussers are capable of handling 70 to 105 drives per hour erasing Longitudinal and Perpendicular Magnetic Recorded hard disk media with a coercivity of 5,000 Oersteds and magnetic tape media at 2,800 Oersteds. Far exceeding DoD’s requirements for purging classified data.

Onsite Physical Destruction – Data Security DB-4000 on-site disk destruction unit is capable of handling 54-105 drives per hour physically destroying hard drives by folding them in half meeting NSA and DoD compliance.

Following degaussing and destruction as described above, which can be performed at the client site, Colt's 100% Domestic Transformation process introduces the destoryed drives into our turnkey e-scrap processing line. Our systems can reduce media to unrecognizable separated commodities providing clients with zero landfill and zero downstream liability. This destruction exceeds all NSA and DoD compliance guidelines.
